Scott has worked in all aspects of the theatre as a director, actor, choreographer, singer and dancer with years of experience under his belt there are few more qualified to work on a production team than Scott. This year celebrates Scott’s 18th year as a full time director on the amateur circuit. During this time Scott has worked with many varying societies, as far a field as St Austell to Rhyl. He has received both critical acclaim and several NODA awards.

 

Scott, who is from Watford, has appeared on stage from the age of eleven. He trained at the Arts Educational School and while still there landed his first professional role at the Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond, in their summer musical, "Shoot-up at Elbow Creek".

 

That was the beginning of many musical appearances, which have included Annas in the first repertory production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" in 1983 at York, Snowboy in "West Side Story", Giorgio in "The Gondoliers", Eddie in "The Rocky Horror Show" at Nottingham, Jacques in "Kinq of Hearts" at Edinburgh, Thomas Andrews in "Titanic" at Stevenage and Harold Nichols in "Full Monty" (Stevenage). He also took part in the original British production of "Mack & Mabel" at Nottingham. Nearer home, Scott’s West End appearances include Bert Barrie in "42nd Street" at Drury Lane, Chantel in "La Cage aux Folles" at the London Palladium and Worker 1041 in "Metropolis" at the Piccadilly. Other theatre work includes the first British tour of "Annie", "Poppy" at the Half Moon, and "It’s Wonderful", a theatrical celebration of the work of George Gershwin; as a member of the Players Company, Scott toured in "The Good Old Days".

 

Whilst on the concert tour of "Jesus Christ Superstar - 21st Anniversary", Scott decided to return to his roots, the amateur stage apart from at Christmas where he makes regular appearances in pantomimes.
